JAY SAUCERRA

Jay Saucerra designs unique one of a kind clothing for creative artists. His clothes are best worn on stage, or on the dance floor. He is flamboyant but never loses his sense of style and taste. Everything is handmade and made in limited quantities by Jay himself. Jay grew up in Chino Hills, Ca with his Mom, Lisa A.K.A @thicc_chola, father, and two siblings. Jay has been very open about his difficulties growing up in a chaotic environment but he managed to self soothe by exploring his talents. His parents put him in sports for 8 years, football being the longest, but Jay had his own ambitions. He taught himself how to sew and make little purses in elementary school, he later went on to go to a prestigious art highschool in Orange County, Ca for Production and Design. This is where Jay meet his costume design teacher Ms. Kim. Jay was truly inspired and even made his very first faux fur coat in her class. Jay became president of the fashion club and led several fashion shows. He later studied fashion design at the Fashion Institute of Technology in Manhattan, NY. A true testament that hard work pays off. Unfortunately, In 2020 Jay had to put his studies on hold due to his parents separation. 4 Years later, Jay and his mom now live in San Diego, Ca and Jay has went on to design several collections under his street couture label "Jay Saucerra Street Couture" He came up with the name Street Couture because he wanted to merge his extensive knowledge and skill set with his grunge, high fashion aesthetic.
